ABOUT THE PROJECT

Alto Apartments is an affordable housing community designed to elevate everyday living in the growing city of Maricopa. Inspired by the desert landscape, the architecture blends clean modern lines with warm, durable materials that respond to both climate and context.

The design embraces a restrained palette—stucco and metal accents, deep overhangs, and large glazing—to create rhythm and relief across the façades. Inside, residents enjoy contemporary finishes such as quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and LVP flooring that balance beauty and long-term durability.

Community amenities include a resort-style pool, fitness center, clubhouse, dog park, and shaded outdoor lounge areas that foster connection and activity. Native landscaping and energy-efficient systems support sustainability and longevity.

As the architect, our goal for Alto was to design an affordable housing development that feels elevated, cohesive, and distinctly of the desert—proving that good design and accessibility can coexist beautifully.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

• Project taken over from another team that could not meet project timeline nor project budget. We met both timeline and project budget.
• Exterior amenities: pool, pool deck, grilling area, gaming area, play area, and two dog parks.
• Infrastructure installed for 20 future EV stations
• Solar panel cart ports throughout the development
