The Winslow is a 62+ age restricted affordable apartment building in the heart of West St. Paul.

PROJECT SUMMARY

The Winslow is a 172-unit, age restricted 62+ community located in the heart of West St. Paul. This property sits on a former DARTS Transportation Company, who became an investor partner with Real Estate Equities in this project as part of their mission.

The building is arranged in a "C" shape, creating a central courtyard with parking, paths, landscaping, and outdoor recreation. Common spaces are placed in a one-story pavilion connected to the main building, providing a clubhouse like experience and a seamless indoor to outdoor connection. Large windows and a flat roof help keep this component inviting and scaled to the surroundings.

To support residents transitioning from single-family homes, the architecture incorporates pitched roofs and a warm, residential character. Brick grounds the first floor to reflect nearby low-rise masonry buildings, while upper levels feature a mix of fiber-cement materials in earthy tones with a bold red accent.

Amenities include light-filled spaces for fitness and wellness, arts and crafts studio, club room for community activities, a game room, lounge, theatre, and salon. The landscaped exterior is an important part of the resident experience with grill patios, screened in gazebo, walking paths, and a lawn activities area.
